Al’iman Charitable Foundation Empowers 1000 Women in Kebbi

Al’iman Charitable Foundation, a Kebbi-based Non-Governmental Organization has so far engaged not less than 1000 vulnerable women in Kebbi State into various entrepreneurial and skills acquisition programmes.

This was made known by Hajiya Fatima Bello, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation during a media interactive session when she paid a courtesy call at PRNigeria Office in Abuja on Friday.

The foundation was established in 2019 with the sole aim of providing job opportunities to helpless and less privileged members of the society in Kebbi State.

Hajiya Fatima stated that; ”the sole objective of setting-up the foundation is to empower several poor women, jobless youths, orphans and the less privilege across Kebbi state. In our dear Kebbi State, so many educated youths and poor women are struggling to survive hard times due to absence of jobs and good employment opportunities.”

Mrs. Bello also lamented that, these myriad of problems have greatly contributed to the upsurge in the level of societal problems including drugs and substance abuse, violent crimes among youths in the state.

“In the light of the aforementioned problems, we set up Al’iman Charitable Foundation to help in tackling poverty and to uplift the lives of our poor rural women. So far, we have empowered not less than 1000 Kebbi women in various entrepreneurial skills and trade.”

She stated that the foundation was able to successfully organize various rounds of empowerment programs since its inception in 2019. The selected participants are engaged in several skills acquisition training including tailoring, catering, computer appreciation and beads making among others.

“Upon their graduation of the participants, we providemodest startup capital for them to float their own business in order to become self-reliant and job providers in the nearest future.” said the founder.

In his goodwill remarks, the Publisher and the Editor-in-Chief of PRNigeria, Mallam Yushau Shuaib commended the selfless effort and kind gesture of Mrs Bello for initiating such charitable foundation especially at a time where students find it difficult to secure job upon graduation.
