Ex-VC Benue University, Prof Iyornongu Ker, is Dead
A former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, (BSU) and Veritas University, respectively, Professor David Iyornongu Ker, OON is dead.
He was aged 70 years.
A member of North-Central People Forum (NCPF) confirmed that Prof Ker died on Friday.
The source told PRNigeria that the members of NCPF of which the deceased was a member were devastated over the death

The source said “We just received the sad news of the demise of one of our respected elders and leaders of the North Central Peoples’ Forum, (NCPF), Professor David Iyornongu Ker, OON, former Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, (BSU) and Veritas University, respectively.
“He was on the NCPF delegation which paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Ibrahim Nasir Mantu, CFR, last week, and was also on the team which visited the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, a fortnight ago.
“Prof Ker marked his 70th birthday June 6, 2021. He was a seasoned professor of English who taught in several universities and Chairman of the federal government visitation panel to the Federal University of Technology, Yola.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
“He will be sorely missed.”
