Katsina Police Nab Informants, Bandits’ Logistics Suppliers

Katsina Police Nab Informants, Bandits’ Logistics Suppliers

On the 18/9/2021 based on credible intelligence, the command succeeded in arresting (1) Lawal Shu’aibu ‘m’ aged 32 years of Maradi, Niger Republic. Conveying fuel in a Motor vehicle, Passat, Ash coloured vehicle with Reg. No. XML 347 AA.
(2) Sani Lawal, ‘m’ aged 28yrs of Magamar Jibia, conveying fuel in his Passat, motor vehicle blue in colour with registration No. KMC 198 XB.
(3) Abdulrashid Garba, ‘m’, aged 50yrs of Daddara village, Jibia LGA, conveying fuel in his Golf III, wagon with registration No. AR 719 KTN
(4)Tigal Haruna,’m’, aged 57yrs of Kofar Guga Quarters, Katsina, conveying fuel in his Passat motor vehicle with registration number FC 977 LKJ. Nemesis caught up with the suspects when they were arrested long Katsina – Jibia road while on their way into the forest. In the course of investigation suspects confessed to be selling the fuel at fringes of the forest, contrary to Executive order and other extant laws of the Federation. Investigation is ongoing.

ARREST OF SUPPLIER OF FUEL TO BANDITS:- On the 18/9/2021 the command succeeded in arresting on Shafi’u Haruna,’m’, aged 25 years of Anguwan Nakaba village, Sabuwa LGA of Katsina state, a suspected supplier of fuel to bandits in the forest. The fact of the matter was that suspect was observed to have been frequently coming to buy fuel at a filling station in Dandume and after a while he will come back to buy again in his motorcycle Jincheng rubber, white in colour. Consequently, Police Detectives on surveillance patrol at the said filling station secretly followed after him which led them into an uncompleted building where he was arrested while transferring the fuel into a Jerrican in an uncompleted. In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to the commission of the offense and further stated that he came all the way from Sabuwa LGA to buy the fuel and take to the forest. Investigation ongoing.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED INFORMER/SUPPLIER OF BREAD TO BANDITS: On the 18/9/2021 the Command succeeded in arresting one Hamisu Sani, ‘m’, aged 30 years of Sabon Garin Motso Motso, Zandam village, Jibia LGA of Katsina state, a notorious informer who specializes in supplying bread to bandits in the forest. After several warning by both community leaders and security agencies to stop supplying bread to bandits in the forest, nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was arrested with some quantity of bread concealed inside a sack while trying to enter into the forest and take it to bandits. In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to the commission of the offense. Investigation ongoing.

ARREST OF A SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER. On the 18/9/2021 the command succeeded in arresting one Buhari Haruna,’m’, aged 22 years of Kankia LGA, (a person with special need), who specializes in calling unsuspecting members of the public through phone calls, threatening them to pay ransom or risk been kidnapped. Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he called one Hamisu Saminu, ‘M’ of Kankia LGA of Katsina state, a businessman and demanded for the payment of two million naira (2, 000, 000:00K) ransom or risked himself or any of his relations being kidnapped. In the course of investigation, suspect was arrested when he went to collect the ransom money deposited as a bait for him, in a location he instructed the victim to go and deposited the money. suspect confessed to the commission of the offense. Investigation ongoing

ARREST OF TRANSFORMER VANDALIZERS. On the 19/9/2021 the command succeeded in arresting the duo of (1) One Sama’ila Abubakar,’m’, aged 18 years and (2) Mubarak Salisu,’m’, aged 21 years all of Higi village, Bindawa LGA. Nemesis caught up with the duo when the vandalized and stole away armored cable from a transformer valued at about two hundred and fifty thousand naira (250,000.00). In the course of investigation, suspects confessed to the commission of the offense. Investigation ongoing.
