Daudu Egbejila Set For Turbaning as 12th  Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin

Daudu Egbejila Set For Turbaning as 12th  Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin

All is set for the official turbaning of the 12th Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate, Dr Usman Atolagbe Abubakar Jos, as well as the Daudu of Egbejila, Alhaji Ahmed Olanrewaju Ibrahim Dasuki.

Recalls that the Emir of Ilori , His Highness, Alhaji  Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on March 15th appointed Dr Usman Atolagbe Abubakar Jos as the 12th Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate and Alhaji Ahmed Olanrewaju Ibrahim Dasuki as Daudu of Egbejila.

According to the program of events made available to Solacebase on Friday by the organizing committee, two football matches have been scheduled for the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium complex to kick-start the activities for the turbaning.

The Kwara Ladies United Football Club Team A will play with Team B, while the Team Balogun Alanamu will play Team Daudu Egbejila in the male football match, all at the stadium, on Wednesday May 4th, 2022 beginning from 4:00pm.

Solacebase reports that the two newly appointed traditional leaders, the Balogun Alanamu and the Daudu Egbejila will both grace the occasion as Special Guests.

Similarly, on Thursday May 5th, 2022 the ceremony will continue with Islamic Lecture at the Fada of the Balogun Alanamu, between 4:30pm to 6:30pm, while Waka song will follows from 10pm to 12am.

The official turbaning will take place at the palace of His Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, between 10am and 12noon, on Friday May 6th 2022.

The turbaning will be followed with Jumuat Service, at the Ilorin central Mosque, between 2.00pm to 3.00pm, as the newly turban title holders , their families, friends and well wishers retire to the Fada of the Balogun Alanamu for reception , from 3.00pm.

The ceremony will be rounded off with a thanksgiving visit to the Emir’s at his Palace, on Monday May 9th.
