Two Federal Training Centres Get Accreditation for ND Programmes

In line with one of the six pillars and strategic focus of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP25), which is Capability Building and Talent Management and the vision to build a world-class Service for accelerated national development, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has gotten accreditation for two of its Federal Training Centres (FTCs) to run National Diploma (ND) programmes. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), which accredited the Training Centres granted the approval for the following programmes:
Federal Training Centre, Lagos:
i.                   National Diploma in Public Administration (NDPAD),
ii.                 National Diploma in Office Technology and Management (NDOTM),
iii.                National Diploma in Computer Science (NDCOM), and
iv.               National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (NDBAM)
Federal Training Centre, Kaduna:
i.                   National Diploma in Public Administration (NDPAD),
ii.                 National Diploma in Computer Science (NDCOM) and
iii.                National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (NDBAM)
The accredited National Diploma courses in Public Administration, as well as Office Technology and Management are also awaiting further accreditation for a Higher National Diploma status. All programmes being offered by the remaining four (4) Federal Training Centres, FTCs situated in Calabar, Enugu, Maiduguri and Ilorin are still on interim accreditation status.
In the light of this development, Public Servants and the general public are enjoined to take advantage of the newly accredited courses.
