Professor Pate Leads Nigeria’s Delegation to World Media Congress in Spain

The 73 World News Media Congress was today opened in Zaragoza, Spain with Editors, Public Relation Professionals and Media scholars across the globe in attendance.

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Kashere, Professor Umar Pate is leading the Nigerian Delegation at the conference which is to last for three days.
Other participants from Nigeria being sponsored by Mac Arthur Foundation are Dr Sulaiman Yaradua and Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule from Mass Communication Department, Bayero University, Kano.

During the opening day on Wednesday, issues such as media in Post Covid challenges, The Ukraine/Russia war, Evolving Public Relations and News Media Relationship and strategies for media to remain in business despite the enormous challenges posed by the new media were adequately discussed.
