NIS Charges Immigration of Professionalism during 2023 Elections
The newly posted Comptroller of Immigration Service Rivers State Command Sunday James assumed duty at the Command Headquarters,along Aba Road.
The Comptroller addressed senior officers/ heads of units under his watch to address the critical role and mandate of the service vis- a-vis coming 2023 general election and other operational issues ,speaking to the officers the Comptroller warned officers from being partisan and enjoined them to work by the ethics of the service and within the mandate of the service.

All the Divisional Immigration Officers from the 23 Local Government of Rivers State reported at the State Command for briefing coinciding with the resumption of the new Comptroller,who took advantage of their coming to direct on what the service expect of them as grassroot officers with close contact with the locals advising them against partisanship and unethical practice,few days to the election the Comptroller told the officers to be security conscious and report promptly any issue or incident that calls for quick intervention to justify their assignment during the polls.
The Former Comptroller now promoted Assistant Comptroller General AJ Kwassau,PCC,FSI, FDC,mini, who is now in-charge CERPAC Unit at the NIS Headquarters Abuja (a unit saddled with issuance of the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card)to expatriates working in Companies in Nigeria,an investment driven arm of the service.
The Nigeria Immigration Service Rivers State Command is prepared for the 2023 General Elections and willing to deliver on its mandate to enforce compliance by Non Nigerians on their Non participation and interference in Nigeria’s election by not voting and not voted for, neither are they to be accosted with the National Identity Card nor Voters card.
