Governor Uba Solicits Extra Military Intervention in Southern Kaduna
The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, on Tuesday, seeks more military intervention especially Southern Kaduna axis of the state.
PRNigeria reports that the Nigerian Army had deployed Operation SAVE HAVEN (OPSH) to curb the menace of bandits activities and other criminal elements in the area.
Governor Sani made the call at visit to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Maj. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.
The Governor also congratulates Army Chief on his appointment, adding that his unprecedented performance recorded during his tour of duty as the General Commanding Officer (GOC) I Division NA was laudable .
He applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognising his track record of achievement during his previous assignments.
Sani also lauded the efforts of Gen Lagbaja for decimating bandits and other criminalities along the Abuja- Kaduna road as well as the Birnin Gwari general area during his command as the GOC 1 Division.

Responding, COAS, Lagbaja noted that the visit by the Governor has afforded the NA the opportunity to have firsthand feedback on the security situation in the state to enable the Army to take strategic military operational engagements in the area.
Lagbaja asserted that the support and good relationship bestowed y the Kaduna State Government during his tour of duty as the GOC 1 Division enhanced the NA operations leading to the restoration of peace and stability in the state while seeking same to the new GOC Maj Gen BA Alabi to consolidate the gains recorded.
“I’ m appealing for the mobilization of critical stakeholders, including the traditional rulers, and the Clergy to support the military to nip the seed of insecurity in the state noting that information gathering is key to military operations”, he said.
Gen Lagbaja thanked the Governor for the
infrastructural support the Army has enjoyed from the state and pledged the NA’s readiness to restore stability in Kaduna State and adjoining states.
