FG to Operationalize Multi-Agency Anti-Kidnap Fusion Cell at NCTC
The Federal Government has announced plans to operationalize the Multi-Agency Anti-Kidnap Fusion Cell at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) as part of its renewed efforts to combat kidnapping and related crimes.
This initiative, developed with the support of the United Kingdom National Crime Agency, is set to enhance the country’s capacity to address the menace of kidnapping through collaboration and innovation.
The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, disclosed this in a New Year message to Nigerians.
He emphasized that the fusion cell will serve as a central hub for intelligence gathering, coordination, and swift intervention in kidnapping cases.
