Third-Estate Commends Appointment of CP Moshood Jimoh as Lagos Police Commissioner

Following the announcement of CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, the President of the Third-Estate of Ilorin Emirate, Barrister Toyin Hassan, has praised the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for the appointment.

In a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, Mallam Shuaib Ibrahim NPN, Barrister Hassan congratulated CP Jimoh, a member of the Third-Estate, on his new national assignment. The group described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Jimoh’s exemplary track record as a crime fighter and award-winning public relations professional.

The statement highlighted CP Jimoh’s outstanding contributions to the Nigerian Police Force, noting his exceptional performance in various roles. “We all remember how he revolutionized the public relations department of the police force during his tenure. His up-to-date briefings on the activities of the force were unparalleled,” the statement read.

The Third-Estate expressed confidence that CP Jimoh’s appointment to Lagos State, often referred to as the “State of Excellence,” reflects the trust placed in him by the IGP and the PSC to deliver exceptional results. “This posting is a testament to his proven capabilities and the high expectations for his performance in Lagos,” the statement added.

The group concluded by wishing CP Jimoh divine guidance and protection as he takes on the critical task of ensuring security and maintaining law and order in Lagos State. “We pray for Allah’s guidance and protection as he discharges his duties with the excellence he is known for,” the statement said.

CP Moshood Jimoh’s appointment has been widely celebrated, with many expressing optimism that his extensive experience in public relations, crisis management, and operational leadership will bring positive change to Lagos State’s security landscape.
