
Air Chief Hails Troops in Maiduguri, Describe Their Sacrifices ‘Etched in History’
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has praised Nigerian Air Force personnel stationed in Maiduguri, describing their sacrifices in the fight against insurgency as “etched in the history of this nation.”
Addressing officers and airmen of the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, the Air Chief praised their courage, resilience, and the critical role they play in keeping millions of Nigerians safe.
“Your sacrifices are etched in the history of this nation, and in the hearts of millions of Nigerians who sleep safer because of your vigilance,” he told the troops.

The CAS’s visit—timed at a critical juncture in the ongoing counter-insurgency efforts—highlighted recent operational gains, especially in precision air strikes and close air support that have bolstered ground operations.
