Third Estate Elects Ladan Gobir, others in New Leadership Team

The Third Estate, a prominent socio-cultural forum comprising intellectuals, public officials, and business leaders from the Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, has elected a new executive leadership at its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The meeting, which was presided over by the outgoing President, Barrister Ibrahim Toyin Hassan, resulted in the election of Barrister Ahmed Ladan Gobir as the new President. The newly elected leadership is expected to serve a two-year term.

Other elected officials are Mallam Rasheed Omomeji Hassan as Vice President I, Dr. Usman Shehu Aladire as Vice President II, Dr. Lanre Olumo as Secretary, and Lawal Hassan as Assistant Secretary. Also elected were Ibrahim Agboola Saad as Treasurer, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri as Publicity Secretary, Barrister Musiliu Babatunde as Legal Adviser, and Obashola Jimoh as Auditor.

PRNigeria gathered that the inauguration and official handover ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sallah Day 2025.

The Third Estate was established to serve as a think tank and advocacy platform for promoting unity, good governance, and socio-economic development within the Ilorin Emirate. Over the years, it has played a significant role in championing the cause of community development, youth empowerment, education, and cultural preservation.

The group is known for its policy-oriented engagements and interventions on matters affecting the emirate, often acting as a bridge between the traditional institution, the government, and the broader Ilorin community.

With the emergence of the new leadership, expectations are high for continued strategic initiatives and constructive dialogue aimed at advancing the collective interests of the Ilorin Emirate and ensuring the preservation of its values and heritage.
