DICON Strengthens Partnership with D7G to Boost Local Defence Production
In a strategic push towards achieving Nigeria’s Military Industrial Complex vision, the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) has reaffirmed its partnership with D7G Company Limited to revamp local production of military hardware.
This was disclosed by Spokesperson of DICON, Lt Colonel Haruna Mohammed Sani in a statement.
This commitment was reinforced during a courtesy visit by the D7G team to DICON Headquarters in Kaduna, where the Director General of DICON, Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, emphasized the importance of the collaboration.
“D7G remains a highly reputable and reliable partner that can drive DICON towards actualizing its dream of becoming the hub of Nigeria’s Military Industrial Complex,” General Alaya stated.
General Alaya disclosed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to enhance the local production of arms, ammunition, and other military hardware. He noted that the partnership would not only promote self-sufficiency but also reduce Nigeria’s reliance on foreign imports for defence needs.
