Joint Security Team Nabs Notorious criminals Declares Manhunt for Notorious Gunrunner ‘Kiss Me’

The Anambra State Joint Security Team, comprising officers of the Nigeria Police and operatives of the Anambra Vigilante Group, has recorded significant breakthroughs in its ongoing simultaneous operations across the state’s three senatorial districts.

As part of sustained security dominance and offensive strategies, the team arrested six suspects involved in armed robbery and vandalism within Oko community and its environs in the Anambra South Senatorial District. The operatives also launched a manhunt for a notorious cultist and gunrunner known by the alias “Kiss Me”, said to be terrorising the Oko area.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Wednesday, confirmed that the operations led to the recovery of one English Beretta pistol and vandalised electric cables in separate incidents.

According to the statement, on the evening of May 19, 2025, security operatives arrested two suspects, identified as Anagor Chinedu (25) and Anagor Rapuluchukwu (23), at Ifite village in Oko. During the operation, an English Beretta pistol was recovered from the suspects. The duo reportedly confessed to being members of the Beggars’ Confraternity and named “Kiss Me” as their armourer.

In a separate operation, four other suspects were apprehended following a distress call reporting suspicious activity at the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko. The individuals—Chukwuka Usulor, Chukwuemeka Michael, Ikenna Oke, and Ebuka Okeke—were caught allegedly vandalising electrical infrastructure and found in possession of assorted cable wires.

The police spokesperson affirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to denying criminal elements any operational foothold within the state.

“The manhunt for the wanted cultist and gunrunner is ongoing, and the security operatives are determined to dislodge all criminal networks in the region,” SP Ikenga stated.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue supporting security efforts by providing timely and credible information to authorities.
