Olufemi Soneye Resigns as NNPC Limited Spokesman

Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, has officially stepped down from his role.

Soneye made the announcement through a statement released on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

He cited personal reasons for his decision to leave the national oil company.

“I wish to inform you that I have stepped aside from my role as Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd,” he stated.

According to Soneye, the move would allow him to spend more time with his family and focus on personal matters that now demand his closer attention.

“This decision will allow me to devote more time to my family and attend to personal responsibilities that now require my closer presence,” he said.
