Troops Foil Robbery Attempt, Eliminate 2 Suspects, Arrest 2 Others in Kaduna
Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division, in collaboration with Operation FANSAR YANMA, have successfully neutralized two armed robbers and arrested two others following a robbery attack at Gashash Estate in Barnawa, Kaduna South Local Government Area, PRNigeria reports.
According to findings by Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday when a gang of eight armed hoodlums stormed the residential estate, robbing occupants at gunpoint and carting away various valuables.

Responding swiftly to a distress call, troops—supported by the Nigeria Police—were deployed to the scene. The security team pursued the fleeing suspects and intercepted them at Makera Main Road in the Kakuri area.
Upon confrontation, the suspects attempted to escape, leading to a brief firefight during which two of them were gunned down. The remaining two were apprehended on the spot.
Items recovered from the suspects include seven mobile phones, three wristwatches, two laptops, two PlayStation consoles, assorted jewelry, a locally made pistol, and other dangerous weapons.
Security forces have since launched a manhunt for the remaining members of the gang and are working to uncover the full scope of their criminal operations.
