FAAC Disburses N1.818tr to FG, States, LGs from June Revenue

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total sum of N1.818 trillion as revenue generated in June 2025 to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils.

This was contained in a communiqué issued after the FAAC meeting held in Abuja on Friday night. The statement was made available to journalists by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF).

According to the communiqué, the total distributable revenue for June comprises:

Statutory Revenue: N1.018 trillion

Value Added Tax (VAT): N631.507 billion

Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N29.165 billion

Exchange Difference Revenue: N38.849 billion

Non-Mineral Revenue Augmentation: N100 billion

The gross revenue available in June stood at N4.232 trillion, from which N162.786 billion was deducted as the cost of revenue collection. An additional N2.251 trillion was recorded as transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.

Revenue Distribution

Out of the N1.818 trillion shared among the three tiers of government:

Federal Government received N645.383 billion

State Governments received N607.417 billion

Local Government Councils received N444.853 billion

13% Derivation Revenue amounting to N120.759 billion was distributed to oil-producing states

Breakdown by Revenue Streams

1. Statutory Revenue (N1.018 trillion):

Federal Government: N474.455 billion

State Governments: N240.650 billion

Local Governments: N185.531 billion

Derivation (13% of mineral revenue): N118.256 billion

2. VAT Revenue (N631.507 billion):

Federal Government: N94.726 billion

State Governments: N315.754 billion

Local Governments: N221.027 billion

3. EMTL (N29.165 billion):

Federal Government: N4.375 billion

State Governments: N14.582 billion

Local Governments: N10.208 billion

4. Exchange Difference Revenue (N38.849 billion):

Federal Government: N19.147 billion

State Governments: N9.712 billion

Local Governments: N7.487 billion

Derivation (13% of mineral revenue): N2.503 billion

5. Non-Mineral Revenue Augmentation (N100 billion):

Federal Government: N52.680 billion

State Governments: N26.720 billion

Local Governments: N20.600 billion

The communiqué noted that while Companies Income Tax, Petroleum Profit Tax, and EMTL recorded significant increases in June, revenues from Oil and Gas Royalties, VAT, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies saw notable declines.
