Hunter, Farmer Killed as Villager Fights Off Armed Bandits in Separate Attacks in Northcentral

Armed bandits have continued their reign of terror in Nigeria’s North-Central region, killing a hunter and a farmer in separate attacks while a villager killed one of them during a confrontation.

A villager in Borgu Local Government Area, Yakubu Bulus, killed one of three armed bandits who attempted to rob him at his home.

The bandits were moving from house to house in Gadowa village, robbing residents of their valuables. When they reached Bulus’s residence, they demanded money from him.

In Benue, Hilenen Terzungwe, a hunter from the Tine Nune community, was on patrol with five other hunters in the Ukum Local Government Area when he was attacked. He suffered severe machete cuts and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Zaki-Biam, where he later died from his injuries.

Separately, in Niger State, Zagazola reports that a large group of bandits stormed Dogon-Fili village in the Rafi Local Government Area. During the attack, they killed a farmer named Ranau Usman and stole his motorcycle before fleeing.
