Military Eliminates 12 ISWAP Terrorists, Recover Weapons, Pharmaceutical Products in Borno
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in collaboration with local security outfits, have neutralized 12 fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in a series of targeted operations conducted between August 29 and 30.
The operations, which were backed by Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) provided by the Air Component Command, successfully cleared terrorists’ hideouts in Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri, and Gaza.

According to military sources, troops encountered the insurgents at Loskori Kura, where a fierce gun battle ensued, resulting in the elimination of 12 terrorists.
Recovered items from the operation included eight AK-47 rifles, eight fully loaded AK-47 magazines with 7.62mm ammunition, as well as assorted drugs and medical supplies believed to be used by the terrorists.
Military authorities have commended the troops for their gallantry and renewed vigour, while charging the Theatre Command to sustain the momentum in the ongoing counterterrorism operations across the Northeast.
