Senator Buba Distributes 16,200 Bags of Rice to Bauchi North Constituents for Ramadan
The Senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial District, has distributed 16,200 bags of rice to constituents across the zone to cushion the impact of economic hardship during the ongoing Ramadan fast.
Speaking during the distribution exercise in Bauchi on Wednesday, Senator Buba said the intervention was designed to support vulnerable families grappling with rising food prices and economic pressures.
According to him, the gesture reflects the spirit of compassion, sacrifice and solidarity that defines the holy month of Ramadan.
“This initiative is to support our people, especially the vulnerable, so they can observe Ramadan with some level of comfort and dignity,” the lawmaker stated.

He urged beneficiaries to remain calm and orderly throughout the distribution process, assuring that adequate security arrangements had been put in place to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.
Security personnel were deployed to various distribution centres as residents turned out in large numbers to receive the food items.
Findings by our correspondent indicate that the outreach extended beyond Bauchi North Senatorial District, with allocations also made to local government areas in the two other senatorial districts of Bauchi State.
Several beneficiaries who spoke at the event commended Senator Buba for what they described as a timely intervention, noting that the support would provide relief to families amid prevailing economic challenges.
