Troops Intercept Suspected ISWAP Logistics Vehicle, Arrest Suspects in Borno
Troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Chabbal under Operation HADIN KAI have intercepted a vehicle allegedly transporting logistics suspected to be linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) along the Maiduguri–Gubio main supply route.
Security sources disclosed that the interception occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on February 26 during routine stop-and-search operations at a military checkpoint. The troops halted a Toyota pickup truck for inspection along the strategic corridor.

A thorough search of the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of several items concealed beneath wooden planks. Recovered materials included large textile fabrics believed to be used by terrorist elements, 20 Hilux tyre tubes suspected to support logistics operations, motorcycle spare parts, 10 cutlasses, and three mobile phones.
Three male occupants of the vehicle were arrested at the scene. The suspects and the recovered items have since been handed over to the 7 Mechanised Infantry Brigade for further investigation and intelligence processing.
Military sources said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to dismantle ISWAP’s supply chains and disrupt terrorist activities across the North-East theatre.
