The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recorded a win in its fight against lawless motorists, as traffic offender Suleiman Abubakar was remanded at the Nasarawa Correctional Centre for seven days pending judgement following his arraignment.
According to Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, Corps Public Education Officer, Abubakar was apprehended for overloading, driving without a valid licence, attempting to bribe operatives, and forcefully abducting the Patrol Team Leader to evade arrest.

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, who hailed the ruling, said this shows the Corps is winning the fight against abuse and assault on operatives.
“This development is another proof of FRSC’s stand on upholding the rule of law and protecting its personnel from acts of aggression.
“We are steadily winning the fight against assault on our operatives, as offenders are being decisively prosecuted and brought to justice,” he said.
“The Corps will continue to ensure that perpetrators of violence against its personnel are identified, apprehended, and prosecuted accordingly. Our zero-tolerance stance remains firm,” Shehu added.
