Saudi Arabia Approves NAHCON Medical Clinics for 2026 Hajj Exercise
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has obtained operational licences from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health for medical clinics and healthcare outposts designated for Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj.
The approval, granted on Monday, authorises NAHCON’s medical personnel to begin providing healthcare services to pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the commission said the clinics were established to deliver primary healthcare services, including medical consultations, first aid and treatment of minor illnesses for Nigerian pilgrims.
NAHCON stated that pilgrims seeking treatment at its facilities must present their Nusuk Card alongside their international passport for identification and proper medical documentation.

The commission explained that pilgrims requiring specialised or advanced medical attention would be referred to accredited Saudi hospitals, including King Fahd Hospital and other designated healthcare centres across the Kingdom.
It also revealed that its clinic in Madinah had already been fully operational for the past four days, offering medical support to Nigerian pilgrims currently in the holy city.
According to the commission, the licensed facilities include the NAHCON Clinic in the Shara Sittin Area located at Hotel Humaira on Umm Al-Qura Street near the Old Al-Maatani Petrol Station in Makkah; the Misfalah Al-Tadwa Area clinic situated at Maatouq Al Qarhi Hotel behind Millennium Hotel on Ibrahim Khalil Street; and the Mansour Street Area clinic located at Niger House No. 1 behind Muasasat Alnaqd in Makkah.
NAHCON described the approval of the clinics as a major milestone in preparations for the 2026 Hajj, stressing that the move reflects its commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of Nigerian pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.
