NAF Invites Public to Open Day Events Nationwide to Commemorate 61st Anniversary
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to kick off its 61st-anniversary celebrations with a nationwide Open Day event, inviting Nigerians to visit NAF bases across the country from May 1 to 15, 2025.
The event, themed “Come See Your Air Force,” aims to foster stronger civil-military relations and offer a unique opportunity for the public to witness the inner workings of the NAF.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, announced this in a statement today in Abuja.

He said ththe Open Day events will serve as a key component of the broader anniversary celebrations, which will officially hold from May 13 to 20, 2025.
He noted that the events will feature guided tours of facilities, close-up inspections of aircraft and platforms, historical exhibitions, interactive sessions with NAF personnel, documentary screenings, and souvenir distribution.
“The events will take place in 17 NAF units across the country, including Makurdi, Bauchi, Yenagoa, Kaduna, Enugu, and others,”, he said.
He quoted the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, as “This Open Day is a reflection of our commitment to transparency, national unity, and pride in service. We invite all Nigerians to come, see, and connect with their Air Force.”
