Military Hunts Doctor Linked to Treating Terrorists in Kaduna
Security forces have launched a manhunt for a medical doctor suspected of providing treatment to wounded terrorists in Kaduna State.
The development followed an intelligence-driven operation by troops of Operation Fansan Yamma at a hospital in Galadimawa area of Giwa Local Government Area, where suspected terrorists were reportedly receiving medical care.
Military authorities disclosed that the operation was carried out on March 2 after credible intelligence indicated that injured fighters had been secretly admitted for treatment following previous encounters with troops.
According to the Defence Headquarters, two suspects were arrested during the raid, while the doctor allegedly involved in the treatment fled the facility before the arrival of security forces.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the arrested suspects, alongside several other individuals, had sustained injuries during earlier confrontations with military personnel and were attempting to receive treatment under disguise.
During follow-up operations, the suspects reportedly attempted to lead troops to other hideouts but later tried to escape during an ambush incident.
“They were subsequently neutralised alongside additional terrorist fighters during the encounter,” military authorities said.
Arms and ammunition were recovered at the scene, while investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network supporting the insurgents.
Security officials told PRNigeria that efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the fleeing doctor believed to have facilitated medical treatment for members of the terrorist group.
The military has repeatedly warned individuals and institutions against aiding or providing support services to criminal elements, stressing that such actions constitute serious security offences.
