Army Nabs Suspected ISWAP Logistics Supplier in Northeast
Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected member of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) allegedly involved in supplying motorcycle tyres and other maintenance parts to insurgent fighters.
Military sources said the suspect was intercepted while transporting the items believed to be destined for insurgent camps in the notorious Timbuktu Triangle in the North-East.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to being affiliated with the group and explained how he sourced motorcycle tyres and spare parts from Bajoga in Gombe State.

According to the confession, the items were transported through several locations including Kukuwa, Gumsa and Azare before crossing through Buratai and eventually reaching insurgent enclaves in the Timbuktu Triangle.
The suspect also disclosed that some ISWAP commanders had recently been neutralised during military operations in the area, mentioning Ibba, Dusula and Farouk enclaves as locations affected.
Security sources said the arrest forms part of ongoing intelligence-led operations aimed at disrupting the logistics networks that sustain insurgent activities across the North-East.
Military authorities noted that targeting supply chains and support networks remains a key strategy in weakening the operational capabilities of insurgent groups operating in the region.
