Apapa Customs Records Historic ₦323bn July Revenue, Credits B’Odogwu, AEO for Growth
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Area Command, has recorded its highest-ever monthly revenue collection, generating ₦323 billion in July 2026.
The Command attributed the record performance to sustained institutional reforms, improved compliance, operational efficiency and greater stability in the foreign exchange market.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 14, 2026, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Isah Suleiman, said the milestone reflected the impact of ongoing reforms and improved trade facilitation measures.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Oshoba, commended the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the management of the Service for their efforts to modernise customs operations and streamline processes across the country.
He identified the improved performance of the B’Odogwu digital platform, the One-Stop Shop (OSS) initiative and the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) framework as key drivers of the Command’s revenue growth.

“The AEO framework, which currently has more than 200 beneficiaries, has positively impacted the revenue profile of the Command,” Oshoba said.
The CAC also linked the record revenue to what he described as an improved business environment under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly the relative stability of the foreign exchange market.
According to him, a more predictable foreign exchange regime has enabled importers and other business operators to plan more effectively, make informed decisions and conduct legitimate trade with greater confidence.
Oshoba also charged officers of the Command to maintain professionalism, respect and empathy in their engagements with members of the business community.
He urged officers to ensure prompt resolution of disputes, adhere strictly to documentation procedures and deploy the Post Clearance Audit (PCA) mechanism whenever further scrutiny of consignments is required.
While commending customs officers and compliant stakeholders for contributing to the revenue milestone, the CAC urged them not to rest on the achievement but to regard it as a foundation for further breakthroughs before the end of 2026.
