NAF, Zenith Bank Deepen Partnership on Personnel Welfare, Financial Services
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and Zenith Bank Plc have moved to deepen their strategic partnership, with emphasis on improving personnel welfare, expanding financial services and strengthening the Service’s operational readiness.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, disclosed this on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, when he received the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji, and her delegation on a courtesy visit to NAF Headquarters, Abuja.
Aneke stressed that maintaining a motivated, professional and combat-ready force required more than modern military platforms and rigorous training, noting that effective welfare and financial support systems were equally critical to the wellbeing, morale and security of personnel.
He identified opportunities for broader collaboration with Zenith Bank in areas including customised salary management, personal loans, affordable mortgage schemes and other financial services aimed at improving the financial wellbeing of NAF personnel.

The Chief of the Air Staff also expressed interest in possible Zenith Bank support for the Chief of the Air Staff Youth Empowerment Programme (CASYEP), an initiative designed to promote empowerment and enhance the overall wellbeing of NAF personnel.
Earlier, Umeoji congratulated Aneke on his appointment as the 23rd Chief of the Air Staff and commended the progress recorded under his leadership.
She reaffirmed Zenith Bank’s readiness to strengthen its existing relationship with the Nigerian Air Force and explore additional areas of strategic collaboration that could deliver greater value to personnel and the Service.
The engagement highlights the shared commitment of the NAF and Zenith Bank to strengthening personnel welfare, promoting financial security and supporting initiatives that contribute to the quality of life of military personnel.
The partnership is expected to complement the NAF’s broader efforts to maintain a motivated and resilient workforce capable of executing its constitutional mandate with professionalism, dedication and operational effectiveness in defence of Nigeria.
