The Director General of BPSR, Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, explained that the overall objective of the surveys, which were conducted in 2019, was to seek information from citizens, businesses and general public on perceptions of the highlighted policies and programmes of the Federal Government (FG), and draw lessons from the studies as a basis for further policy dialogue.

He added that the perception surveys will also provide a baseline against which future reform measures can be assessed, while enabling them advise government appropriately.

“This validation workshop is therefore organized to introduce stakeholders to the key findings arising from the perception surveys, elicit stakeholders buy-in and input to the report, through consultation and general consensus, as well as use the information gathered during this validation workshop as further input into the final report,” the BPSR Director General said.

In a remark at the event, Mrs. Chidinma Ilechukwu, staff of OGP Secretariat, expressed belief that key recommendations highlighted at the workshop will help boost the efficiency of the policies.
