COVID-19: Adamawa Grants Amnesty to 173 Prison Inmates
The chief Judge of Adamawa state, his lordship Justice Ishaya K Banu,who is the chairman of committee on criminal Justice Administrations has granted relieve to 173 Inmates by releasing 129 Awaiting trials persons and granting bail to 44 ATPs across all the Correctional Centers and Correctional Facilities in the Command from the exercise which the chairman and members of the committee started on 4/5/2020 and ended on 14/5/2020.

This released is however. not part of the 217 convicts that were earlier granted Amnesty and released by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Alh.Umaru Fintiri on 9/4/2020 and 14/5/2020 to 390 Inmates
The Chief Judge admonished those who benefitted from the exercise to be of good behavior and stay out of trouble.
The State Controller of Correctional Service Mallam Umar Audu (FIICA)thank the State Government by making this exercise possible and the chief Judge and other members of the committee for taking time to go round all the Custodial Centres and carried out the exercise successfully.
