After attacking Military Base in Auno, Boko Haram Massacres 69 Persons in Gubio, Escapes with 1,200 animals
After an attack on Military Base in Auno, the murderous Boko Haram/ ISWAP fighters have killed 69 persons in broad daylight at Foduma Kolomaiya Village in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.
PRNigeria gathered that the terrorists had last weekend (Saturday) killed six Nigerian soldiers while 45 others who were early declared missing have returned to the military base in Auno after the acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Abdul-Khalifa Ibrahim led troops from Operation Lafiya Dole in collaboration with the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSAR) of the Police Command to restore normalcy in the area.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday afternoon, in broad daylight, the terrorists stormed the Foduma village on vehicles and motorcycles and operated for about two hours before they retreated and escaped with 1200 animals.
They also killed over 300 animals in the community. The corpses of the victims and dead animals littered the village after Nigerian troops and members of the Civilian (JTF) Volunteer Group were on inspections of the damage.
In another development, Nigerian troops rescued abducted travellers who were attacked by Boko Haram terrorists last Monday along the Monguno-Borno highway in Borno State.
Meanwhile, security and intelligence services are shocked with the intensity of the attacks in a week. These are coming after the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukuru Buratai had left the North-East after two months of leading the counter-insurgency operations in that axis.
