NPS Decorates 283 Prisons Officers in Sokoto, Kebbi… Plateau Receives New Controller

NPS Decorates 196 Kebbi Prisons Officers
The Nigerian Prisons Service, Kebbi State Command, under the able leadership of the Controller of Prisons, CP.SANI ADAMU POTISKUM, has decorated 196 newly promoted officers of the Command with their new ranks on tuesday at the State Prison Headquaters Birnin-Kebbi.

The elevated officers were part of those promoted recently by the Controller-General of Prison, CGPS.JA’AFARU AHMAD in his effort to break the yoke of staff stagnation in the service and to inculcate discipline and motivation for officers.

Addresing the affected staff shortly after the decoration ceremony, CP.Potiskum, thanked the CGPS for deeming it fit to promote staff of the service and urged the newly decorated staff to reciprocate the gesture with discipline, hardworking, vigilance and dedication to duty.

Blessing the occassion were Prisons Officers, Officers of sister security agencies, friends and families of the elevated officers. The decoration affects 1DCP, 3ACP, 1CSP, 1DSP, 10PIP, 26SIP, 45IP, 9CPA, 28SPA, 37PA I, 17PA II, while 18 others were up-graded with additional qualifications.

NPS Decorates 87 Sokoto Prisons Officers 

The Nigerian Prisons Service, Sokoto State command has today 13th February, 2018 decorated 87 promoted staff across the command, which were part of the 2017 promotion exercise as performed by the service nation wide.

The Decoration ceremony was ably performed by the controller of prisons Sokoto State command CP HALIRU NABABA at the State hqt’s office Sokoto.

In his address to the celebrants the controller of prisons appreciate the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari,rtd Lt. Gen.Abdulrahman Bello Danbazau CFR, PHD and Controller General of prisons Ja’afar Ahmed for giving the service a new face. He how ever  urged the celebrant to reciprocate the kind gesture by being more focus and dedicated to their duties accordingly.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the celebrants DCP SULEIMAN SA’IDU BOSSO, thanks the CGPS for their promotion and promise not to disappoint the service in discharging their duties accordingly.

Plateau Receives New Controller of Prisons

The Plateau State Command of the Nigerian Prisons Service has received a new Controller of Prisons, Mr Daniel Odharo and takes over from Ailewon Noel, the Controller of Prisons (Rear) who has been appointed Commandant Prisons Training College, Kirikiri-Lagos.

CP Daniel Odharo hails from Sagbama Local Government of Bayelsa State and speaks Yoruba, Ijaw and Hausa.
He holds a Master Degree in International Relations with bias in Strategy Studies and a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations both from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife.

Until his deployment, the Controller of Prisons (Main) has served in different Prisons Formations within and outside Nigeria.

Notable among them are, in-Charge Okigwe Prison, In-charge Medium Security Prison Akure, in-Charge Medium Security Prison Makurdi, in-charge Wari Prison, in-charge Maximum Security Prison Kirikiri-Lagos, Deputy Controllers of Prisons Training- Prisons National Headquarters Abuja, Corrections Advisor – United Nations Assisted Mission in Somalia, Corrections Advisor- United Nations Mission in South-Sudan, Controller of Prisons FCT Command and Controller of Prisons further Studies-Prisons National Headquarters, Abuja.
