FG Seeks Synergy Between Security Agencies
The Federal Government has said that there is urgent need for greater synergy between the various security agencies in the country particularly in the area of intelligence sharing, with the view to bringing the emerging security challenges facing the country to its barest minimum.
The Hon. Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the call recently in Abuja when he held an emergency security meeting with all the Heads of Internal Security Agencies in the country.
According to him, through combined intelligence and analysis of data backed with prompt and appropriate professional action, the efforts being made by the security agencies to curtail all forms of armed bandits who launch indiscrimate attacks on peaceful communities from their hideouts across the country no doubt would be addressed promptly.

He observed further that the inability of people living in the rural communities to access network of mobile service providers often lead to late arrival of help in their time of attack as they could not communicate promptly to concerned security agencies.
The Minister assured the security agencies of government’s resolve to addressing all forms of logistics affecting the operational capabilities of the personnel particularly in such areas of capacity building, welfare services, and hard ware.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Mohammed Bello Umar in his welcome address stated that the incessant spate of insecurity has greatly disrupted economic activities in the country as it has led to increase in poverty level and brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
He called on the participants at the Summit to brainstorm with a view to providing a road map that may be considered by government towards tackling internal security challenges in the country.
