Army Denies Boko Haram Attack in Garshigar

Army Denies Boko Haram Attack in Garshigar
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to false publication by so called ISWAP a foreign online media stating that, Boko Haram successfully attack troops at Garshigar on 26 August 2018.
The report is not only false but mischivous propaganda made to mislead the general public. During the failed attack troops mercilessly dealt with the Boko Haram Terrorists thereby neutralizing numbers of them and recovered weapons.
To put the record straight the Nigerian Army earlier issued an official statement to that effect stating successes recorded by troops when the terrorists attempted to infiltrate Garshigar.
Consequently the general public is requested to disregard the report circulated by ISWAP bloggers, handlers and influencers on various social media platform. ISAWP report is not only tarnishing but also aimed at deceiving innocent Nigerians and discredit the military operations against the Boko Haram Terrorists.
To this end ISWAP report will not distract the Nigerian Army in its effort to decimate the terrorists as our troops are highly determine to flush them out of our territory.
The Nigerian Army therefore calls on ISWAP and its associate to always verify facts before making any publication. Henceforth the Nigerian Army will take legal action on any false publication capable of discrediting its effort.
Meanwhile, in another development, the Depot Nigerian Army in conjunction with Headquarters Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) and Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) conducted the final exercise for 77 Regular Recruite Intake  between 25 – 29 September 2018 at FALGORE forest in Kano State.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, who was represented by the Chief of Training and Operations (Army) Major General Lamidi Adeosun, witnessed the DAWN attack to the Base Camp.
After inspection of Quarter Guard by the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, he move from the Base Camp for the Battle inoculation which commenced, immediately after the Operational brief and Information brief.
The Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Major General Victor Ezugwu pointed out that, the essence of the Battle inoculation for the recruits is to build self confidence and remove fear from them as soldiers in a real battle.
Representative of the Chief of Army Staff also flagged off free Medical Outreach at GADA BIYU village, where a lots of residents received free Medical treatment.
Present during the occasion are, the representative of the Speaker House of Representative, the Chief Whip Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, representative of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Commissioner for Water Resources Hon Usman Sale and representative of the Emir of Kano Aliu Umar Dan Amar as well as senior officers from Depot Nigerian Army, Nigerian Army School of Infantry and Nigerian Army School Artillery.
