Dambazau Urges Security Agencies to form Polo Clubs
The Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. (rtd) Abdulrahman Dambazau has directed all the Services under the Ministry to form Polo Clubs within the next six months.
General Dambazau who gave the directive in Kaduna at a Peace Polo Tournament, organized in his honour as part of the activities for the 2018 Ministry of Interior Games (MIGA), said that Polo would be of immense benefit to the personnel of the Services as it would not only promote discipline but also keep them physically fit.

According to him, “Polo is a team event, and it helps the officers to imbibe discipline and endurance, it is one of the important games for the Armed Forces, so I want to use this opportunity to encourage all our Services to form a Polo Club”.
He commended the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for pioneering the formation of Polo Club among other Services in the Ministry, stressing, “this is a matching order to all the Services that are here….. I want to assure you that in the next six months, all the Services will have a formidable polo team”.
Earlier, the President, Kaduna Polo Club, Suleiman Abubakar solicited the support of the Ministry and its Services in upgrading of the facilities, and urged all the Services to embrace the sport for greater performance.
