NIS Wins 2018 NIGAV Award

Nigeria Immigration Service wins the 2018 Nigeria Aviation “Best Agency for International Trade and Travel Facilitation” Award (NIGAV 2018).

The Award was presented to the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede MFR during the 2018 NIGAV Award/ Ministerial Dinner held at Oriental Hotel Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday 16th December, 2018.

NIGAV Award is Nigeria most prestigious air transport Award that is organized to promote excellence in the industry.  The Award measure level of efficiency of MDAs operating in the Aviation sector by gauging their compliance to Service delivery.

This year award according to the Award Committee focused on level of efficiency on timeliness and compliance to Executive Order 001 on ease of doing business and default Approvals. Hence, among five major MDAs like the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, the NIS scored 84% to emerge number one.

While receiving the award, the CGI stated that the feat is a testimony to the Service’s commitment to the implementation of the executive order on the ease of doing business in all NIS service windows.
