REVEALED: How Troops Nabbed 3 Female ISWAP Collaborators in Konduga IDP Camp
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested three women suspected of collaborating with the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during an intelligence-led operation at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was conducted following actionable intelligence obtained from a lawful communications intercept carried out on June 12, 2026.
According to the sources, investigators intercepted information linked to an individual identified as Ba Musa, who allegedly contacted a woman to facilitate movement into a terrorist enclave. The intelligence subsequently triggered a targeted surveillance and tracking operation by security agencies.
Acting on the information, troops of the 222 Battalion (Mobile) executed a covert operation at about 10:30 p.m. on June 18, leading to the arrest of three female suspects within the IDP camp.

Military authorities said preliminary investigations are focused on determining the extent of the suspects’ alleged involvement in facilitating communication and movement between civilians and terrorist elements, as well as uncovering any broader support network linked to insurgent activities in the region.
The three women are currently in the custody of the 222 Battalion (Mobile) and are undergoing further interrogation and profiling as part of ongoing investigations.
Sources noted that while the overall security situation across the North-East remains relatively calm, it continues to be fluid and unpredictable. They added that troops are sustaining offensive and intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, disrupting their support structures and preventing infiltration of civilian communities and camps by insurgent elements.
