Prof. Na’Allah to Third Estate: Attract Developmental Projects, Research Grants to UNIABUJA

The newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, has pleaded with members of the Third Estate, a prominent socio-cultural group in Kwara State, to use their influential clouts to attract scholarship offers, training opportunities, developmental projects and services, partnership programmes, and sponsorship of research proposals, among others, to UNIABUJA.

He gave the plea, while hosting a delegation of the Third Estate who paid him a congratulatory visit at the institution, stressing that their tremendous supports will contribute to the development of the school.

Na’Allah expressed gratitude to Third Estate’s executive officials and other members of the group for the massive support they gave him as VC of Kwara State University (KWASU), which he said contributed enormously to the successes recorded under his tenure.

“I want to thank you all for the outpour of affectionate goodwill, and every other thing you selflessly gave me as KWASU VC. This August visit by members of your development-oriented association, has assured me of your encouragement, invaluable support and genuine prayers as UNIABUJA Vice-Chancellor,” he added.

Third Estate’s President, Mallam Ahmed Bolaji Nagode, while felicitating with Prof. Na’Allah, assured him of their group’s consistent prayer, advice and support at all times.

“The appointment into this exalted position is indeed richly and eminently deserved in view of your background and reputation as an acclaimed international scholar and enviable track record as a university administrator of distinction. As the founding Vice-Chancellor of the Kwara State University, Malete, you laid a solid foundation for the growth of a world-class university and nurtured a sustainable academic tradition of excellence in learning and research,” he said.

The Third Estate’s President added: “That you have been found worthy of appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja is a reward for excellence and a confirmation of the saying that a golden fish has no hiding place. With the precious experience you have garnered in KWASU, I have no doubt in my mind that you will excel in this new position to the glory of the Almighty Allah and pride of our Ilorin community.”
