Police to Ensure Hitch Free Sallah Celebration

In view of the forthcoming Sallah celebration, the Ekiti State Police Command wish to assure residents of the state that the Command has put in place a robust security arrangement in order to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration.

2. In view of this, large scale and elaborate tactical as well as covert Policemen have been strategically deployed by the Commissioner of Police CP Amba Asuquo across the length and breadth of the State with a clear mandate of ensuring crime free Sallah celebration. Men of Special units such as SARS, PMF, Rapid Response Team and Intelligence units, Anti Kidnapping and Cultism sections have also been deployed to nip in the bud any violent crime that may want to rear its ugly head. 24 Hours surveillance patrols have also been ordered around the various praying ground as well as event/recreation centers across the State. All our highways are been properly patroled to ensure that travelers plying the roads are well secured.

3. The Commissioner of Police CP Amba Asuquo while felicitating with Muslims faithful and the good people of Ekiti State enjoined them to reflect on the reasons for the Sallah celebration and be good ambassadors of Islam by ensuring peace at all times.
