Azia Community Commissions Police Division in Anambra
Today Friday 10/1/2020 the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP John B.Abang,fdc officially commissioned the Divisional Police headquarters, Azia Division in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
The project was initiated and executed by the Community in order to bring policing at their doorsteps and enhance safety and security in the Area.
It would be recalled that the foundation laying of the Division was done on the 24th August 2018 by the then Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar psc following approval by the Inspector-general of Police.

Dignitaries at the occasion includes the President general of the Community Dr Nwabueze Tonna.F, Immediate past President general Itchie Ken Maduakor, Hon Okpaleke (Ikenga of Azia)and hosts of other important personalities.
Consequently, after official commissioning the Division,the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc thanked the Anambra State Government for providing the needed fund and the Community for executing the project in the overall interests of the Community.
The CP further enjoins other communities to emulate same in order to promote safety and security in their respective areas.He warned the officers and men to be civil to members of the Public and respect their fundamental Human Rights while discharging their constitutional duties.
