Third-Estate Sponsors Youths for Skills Acquisition Programmes

The President of Ilorin Third Estate, Alhaji Bolaji Ahmed Nagode, and two other officials of the socio-cultural group, namely Alh. Shuaib Ibrahim, and Alh. Sa’ad Ayuba Dan Musa, have paid a visit to Shaybis Electroprenuer, at the Kwara State’s Ministry of Agriculture, in Ilorin.

The visit was to observe how some youths sponsored by their group are doing at the skills acquisition centre.

Alh. Nagode, while speaking to the trainees, said 3rd Estate has sponsored hundreds of youths in Ilorin to acquire relevant vocational skills for self-reliance.

He advised them to judiciously make use of the skills and knowledge they are already gaining, to better their own lives, and subsequently empower others in their communities.

The Ilorin 3rd Estate boss, further advised them to form an Alumni body after their graduation, in order to continue sharing creative ideas and knowledge for growing their individual businesses.

He noted that entrepreneurship remains the key to poverty alleviation, and youth unemployment, saying most of the billionaires and millionaires in the country today are entrepreneurs, who have, and are not even working for government.

In a brief remark, Mallam Zakariya Daniyan, who is the class representative of the current set of trainees, expressed gratitude to the President and other executive members of 3rd Estate for empowering them, in order to better their lives.

He urged his fellow interns at the training center to remain focused, so as to acquire the requisite entrepreneurial skills to establish their own business outfits after graduation.

The Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shaybis Electroprenuer, Engr. Tunde Saliu, thanked the Ilorin 3rd Estate for giving him the opportunity to share ‘powerful’ entrepreneurial knowledge with Kwara youths, and specifically, people of Ilorin Emirate.

He expressed a firm belief that the knowledge and skills to be gained by the participants, would enable them to compete favourably with their counterparts after the training.
