FG maintains Commitment to Youth Aspirations 
The Federal Government has restated its unwavering commitment to support and assist the youths realize their aspirations and dreams for entrepreneurship and employers of labour through the National Youth Investment Fund,   recently approved by Mr President to  invest in the innovative ideas, skills, talents and enterprise of the Nigerian Youth for national development.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare made these assertions when a delegation of the Nigeria Youth Parliament, led by its Speaker, Hon. Mubarak Mijinyiwa visited him in Abuja.
While appreciating and promising to deliver a “Thank You’’ message of the delegation to Mr President for establishing the NYIF as expressed in their Commendation Letter; Mr. Dare in his address to the young parliamentarians stated that the NYIF stood out amongst several initiatives of the Federal Government to harness and invest in the business ideas and talents of the youths to combat youth unemployment and drive innovation, fuel entrepreneurship as well as support youth SMEs. He emphatically mentioned the D.E.E.L programme of the Ministry, which comprises of digital training for the youths is making impact  impression with thousands of our youths
digitally trained to become employers of labour.
Furthermore, the Minister assured the youths of FG’s support with a demonstration of concerted efforts by MDAs which initiates and promotes various programmes for empowerment and vocational skills in diverse occupations.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Gabriel Aduda commended the Nigeria Youth Parliament for deeming it fit to say a big ‘Thank You” to Mr President for approving the establishment of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund, with a courtesy visit on the Minister, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to our visionary and dynamic Minister, Mr Dare
The Speaker of the Nigeria Youth Parliament, Hon. Mubarak Mijinyawa stated that their primary purpose for the visit was to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr President for the NYIF, and to also commend the Minister  for his dynamism and resourcefulness. Hon. Mijinyawa made a passionate appeal to the Ministry to organize another sitting for the Parliament.
In a related development, the Executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) led by its President, Amb. Sukubo S. Sukubo paid a courtesy visit on the Minister to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Mr. President for approving the NYIF, and to present a Roll-Up Banner and Tee Shirts in this regard.
In his remarks, the Minister, admonished the youths to apply themselves to the opportunities available to enhance their socio – economic status. To this end, he emphatically stated that the NYCN has a critical role to play, in  mobilizing  the youths by setting up support centres, for the purpose of informing them about the profitable opportunities inherent in NYIF.
