Third-Estate Condemns Looting, Mobilises Youths against Criminal Elements
The President of Third-Estate Group, Mallam Ahmed Bolaji Nagode has condemned activities of hoodlums hiding under the guise of EndSARS protesters in the looting and destruction of public and private properties in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Nagode who lamented the vandalization of offices, warehouses and shops, urged youths in the state to rise up and checkmate the activities of miscreants involved in criminal activities.
He said: “We are aware that the looting and destructions in various locations have nothing to do with the EndSARS protest. It is rather criminally inspired actions intended to destroy the peaceful image of the Ilorin Emirate. I urge our youths to stay vigilant and deny miscreants and criminal elements any opportunity to destroy our community and collective heritage.’’

The Third-Estate President sympathized with innocent members of the public who were victims of the looting and destructions by hoodlums and he commended the efforts of the government and traditional institutions in tackling the issue.
He said: “No doubt these are trying times! From COVID-19 to a bigger threat to our collective sovereignty! We all must come together to give maximum support to our leaders at all levels! We should take collective responsibility to restore sanity in our community. We call on our people to be vigilant and also synergise with security operatives and the government in fashioning out ways to address the issue.
“While we commend the state government for taking immediate actions to manage and control the crises, we also extend our sympathy to HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of the Ilorin Emirate and chairman of Kwara State Traditional Councils over the carnage and commend his efforts in ensuring peace and stability in the emirate witnessed,” he concluded
