He added that the training week would also afford officers the opportunity to contribute to topical issues in line with the COAS vision which is to have a professional NA ready to accomplish assigned missions within a joint environment in defence of Nigeria.

General Ali added that the training cadre would help in improving the skills and techniques of junior and middle level officers in a Joint and single service operations planning process. He noted that the NA as a stakeholder in the nation’s development has a responsibility to proffer solutions to the challenges confronting the nation especially in the security realm.

Relatedly, the GOC paid a courtesy visit on the Governor at his office. During the visit, the GOC thanked the Governor for his support to the Nigerian Army. The Governor appreciated the GOC for the visit and pledged his continued support to the NA to overcome our security challenges.
