In view of the forthcoming State House of Assembly election slated for 18th March, 2023, the Ekiti State Election Commissioner of Police, *CP AJALA AYOOLA,* wishes to inform the good people of Ekiti State that the Command, in order to ensure a free, fair, credible and safe election, has deployed necessary and adequate human and material resources to all the nooks and crannies of the State.
2. The Commissioner, while assuring residents of the Police readiness to ensure the protection of their lives and properties before, during and after the election, enjoins the law abiding citizens of Ekiti State to go out enmass to exercise their franchise without any form of apprehension.
3. The CP noted that the Command is working in synergy with other relevant security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure a hitch free election.
4. In view of this, the Inspector-General of Police, *IGP USMAN ALKALI BABA, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR,* through the Ekiti State Election Commissioner of Police, CP AJALA AYOOLA *has ordered a restriction of vehicular movement across the State from 12 am to 6 pm on election day with the exception of those on essential services such as INEC Officials, Electoral Observers, Ambulances responding to medical emergencies, firefighters, etc.*

Enjoins Citizens to be Law Abiding, Shun All Violent Activities Before, During and After the Elections.
In view of the Forthcoming 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections Scheduled to hold on Saturday 18th March, 2023 across the 14 LGAs of Zmfara State. The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, CP Kolo Yusuf psc, has reiterated the commitment and determination of the Police and other Security Agencis to enforce order of restriction of movement directed by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR on Election day.
Accordingly, the restriction of movement of persons and vehicles will commence from 12 am to 6 pm of Saturday 18th March, 2023, with the exception of essential services such as INEC Officials, Electoral Observers, Ambulances responding to medical emergencies, firefighters, among others.
Security aides and escorts are also barred from accompanying their principals and Politicians to Polling booths and collation centres during the election,as anyone found disobeying this order will be severely sanctioned. Also, the ban on the unauthourised use of sirens, revolving lights, covered number plates and tinted glasses is still in force, and violators will be sanctioned appropriately. In the same vein, the Command is also reminding the general public on IGP’s order banning all Quasi Security Outfits from participating in election security management .
The Police and other security Agencies will be conducting robust and joint confidence building patrols to ensure compliance with this order as well as to ensure hitch free election exercise. The Command has also made adequate arrangement to provide watertight security to all INEC facilities, INEC Officials and other vulnerable infrastructures domiciled within the state.
The Command therefore appeals for continous support and partnership from the general public in order to make the elections peaceful and successful.

Murdered man NOT shot by Security Agents. Assailant Arrested and Weapon recovered by the Police.
Attention of Anambra State Police Command has been drawn to a misleading story in the Punch Newspaper Online and other mediums purporting that security agents from Department of State Services were responsible for the murder of a middle aged man in Ogidi on 16th March, 2023.
The Command owes a duty to the public to correct the erroneous report.
The deceased was shot by a member of the Vigilante group in the area. On receiving the report at about 0200hrs, the Police moved in swiftly and effected arrest of the assailant who was found with a Pump Action Gun.
The assailant was disarmed and taken into custody for interrogation and comprehensive investigation.
CP Election for Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye while commiserating with family of the deceased, wishes to assure the public that investigation into the homicide will be swift and thorough and the assailant arraigned in court to face justice.
He thanked the youths of Ogidi for ensuring their protest was peaceful. He also appreciated the traditional rulers who mediated to calm frayed nerves.
He urged the people to remain law abiding as the Police in the The command will always protect their fundamental human rights.

As the governorship and state house of assembly election is fast approaching, CP ABDU UMAR mnim psc, fdc. It’s also partinent to note that the electoral act 2023 has prohibited all quasi Security outfits such as vigilante groups,hunters,civilian joint task force (CJTF),and any other security organisation that is not of federal government setting or that is voluntary in nature, without legal backing from taking part of the exercise, as anyone found flouting the electoral laws or going about with arms is liable to be apprehended and prosecuted.
While assuring members of the public a hitch-free secure and credible elections, the Commissioner of Police, CP ABDU UMAR mnim psc fdc, tasked all Police personnel and other Sisters Security Agencies deployed for the assignment to respect the fundamental human rights of the citizenry and operate within the extant laws, rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the exercise.

Bauchi State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that sequel to the deliberations of the inter-agency consultative committee on election security (ICCES), there will be total restriction of persons and vehicular movement across the state on election day.
The step taken is to ensure public order management, and the safety of electorates as well as assist the security agencies with effective policing and to deter miscreants from disrupting the electoral process.
In view of this, the Command has placed the following restriction Orders:
Restriction of persons and vehicular movement across the state;
Unauthorized vehicular movement on roads, and other means of transportation between the hours of midnight of Friday to 06:00 pm of Saturday 18th march, 2023 except essential services;
INEC staff, ambulance, firefighter, and approved Election Observers with duly means of identification.
VIP Security aids and escorts;
Important personalities and politicians (VIPs) are equally barred from going to a polling unit with their security details on Election day.
They are therefore warned to desist from unnecessary movement from one polling unit to another on Election Day.
Hence, the Unauthorized use of sirens, revolving lights, covered plate numbers and tinted glasses is still in force and violators will be sanctioned appropriately.
On this note, operatives attached to the Command in conjunction with other sister security agencies will be deployed to ensure full enforcement.
However, the CP reiterates the ban on all security aides to VIPs and escorts from accompanying their principals and politicians to polling booths and/or collation centres during the election.
State-established and owned security outfits/organizations, quasi-security units, private guards and other security outfits are also barred from participating in election security management.
Therefore, anyone found deliberately “directly or indirectly” flouting this order (s) will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

AIG RUDOLF OBE ECHEBI MNI ASSUMES DUTY AS AIG ELECTION FOR ZONE 13 WHILE CP ADEREMI ADEOYE, THREE OTHER SENIOR OFFICERS DEPLOYED TO ANAMBRA COMMAND ARRIVES FOR NATIONAL ASSIGNMENT.
AIG Rudolf Obe Echebi Mni has assumed duty as AIG Election for Anambra and Enugu State Commands which make up Zone 13 with Headquarters at Ukpo Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State.
The AIG arrived on Thursday, 16th March 2023 and was received by senior officers at the Zonal Headquarters in Ukpo.
He has also visited the Headquarters of Anambra State Police Command where he reviewed security arrangements for State House of Assembly Election scheduled for Saturday. He has proceeded to Enugu State Command in continuation of his assignment.
The Commissioner of Police (Election) for Anambra State briefed the AIG on programmes lined up to carry all stakeholders along to ensure peace especially after the election.
Other senior officers deployed to Anambra Command for this national Assignment include DCP Johnson Adenola – Anambra South; DCP Polycarp Emeka – Anambra Central and DCP Yusuf Ajape – Anambra North Senatorial Dristricts respectively.
In a related development Anambra State Police Command has taken delivery of a truckload of of anti riot equipment and materials procured by the Inspector General of Police for maintenance of law and order in the State.

CP ZAMFARA MEETS HEADS OF SECURITY AGENCIES AHEAD OF MARCH 18TH GOVERNORSHIP/HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
The Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP Kolo Yusuf psc, in Partnership with other heads of security agencies and the INEC have continued to strategise on how to beef up security in all the nooks and crannies of the state before, during and after the 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, scheduled to hold on Saturday 18th March, 2023.
As Part of the Strategies, the Commissioner of Police today met with the heads of security Agencies in his office, and discussed extensively on election security management ahead of March 18th. During the meeting, the CP and his counterparts have resolved to improve and sustain the working synergy to ensure adequate security and safety of the state so as to provide conducive enviroment for free, fair, credible and peaceful election.
The Commissioner of Police while reassuring the security and safety of the citizens before, during and after the election periods, urges members of the Public to be law abiding and at the same time warns trouble makers to desist from anything capable of causing breach of the public peace and security.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR has enhanced the operational capacity of the Zamfara State Police Command through deployment of additional Manpower, Operational vehicles, Non – lethat aweapons, Personnel Protective Equipmrnt and Anti – Riot Equipment from Force Headquarters, Abuja ahead of March 18th 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections.
The Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf while expressing appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for his intervension to the Command, also called on officers and men to redouble their effort and work towards achieving the mandate of conducting credible, fair and hitch free election in the state.
The CP also tasked Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, DPOs and all officers and men deployed for election security duty to be neutral, firm and steadfast to ensure the Command consolidates on the success recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. The CP further charged the general public to be law abiding and desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state, and at the same time, continue to pray for peaceful conduct of the elections in the state and country in general.

*CP ASSURES OF PEACEFUL PROCESS IN KWARA STATE EVEN AS COMMAND RECEIVED LOGISTICS FROM IGP.
The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, CP Paul Odama, psc (+), has assured the good people of Kwara State of the preparation and readiness of the security agencies in the state to ensure that the gubernatorial and house of assembly elections coming up on Saturday, March 18, 2023, are conducted in a peaceful and acceptable manner across the length and breadth of Kwara State.
Rising from an emergency meeting held with heads of security agencies, where the issue of peaceful conduct of the election was the main agenda of the meeting. It was resolved and concluded that all the agencies would work in synergy as they always do to provide adequate security that would make the elections credible, peaceful and acceptable.
The command wishes to specially thank the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman NPM, fdc, psc+ CFR, for supplying the command with all necessary equipment, which includes PASG (Pump Action Shotguns),Long- and shotgun-range riot gunners, hand grenades, rubber bullets, smoke pistols, body armor, all in large numbers, PMS, diesel, and utility vehicles for the purpose of making the election security formidable.
