CLAIM: A quotation accompanied by the picture of the controversial Bauchi cleric Dr Idris Abdul’aziz aka Dutsen Tanshi attributed to TrustNG has emerged on social media platforms claiming that publicly declared his opposition to Palestine in the ongoing Palestine – Israel feud, due to differences in Islamic sect.
The claim has generated a lot of heated comments on Facebook among northern Muslims.
FULL-TEXT: The quotation wherein the claim was made was in Hausa but PRNigeria‘s Translation Desk has translated it into English.

VERIFICATION: PRNigeria conducted a thorough analysis of Dr. Tanshi’s new lecture and found that he did not make the alleged statement.
Instead, the cleric emphasized how theological differences have contributed to the oppression of Muslims worldwide, highlighting that even leading Muslim nations including Saudi Arabia are hesitant to openly support Palestine due to fear of repercussions from Western powers.
Deepening investigation, PRNigeria discovered that the source of the claim was a non-existent online media outlet, indicating it was a fabricated website.
However, Dr. Tanshi expressed strong concern about the long-standing occupation of Palestine by superpowers through Israel and labeled it as “oppression.”
He pointed out that Muslim countries have been unable to challenge this occupation due to lack of sufficient power.
CONCLUSION: PRNigeria‘s findings reveal that Dr. Idris Abdul-aziz Dutsen Tanshi did not explicitly oppose Palestine based on theological differences.
Therefore, PRNigeria concludes that the claim of his opposition to Palestine in the ongoing Palestine – Isreal war is false.
