DHQ, NIA Deepen Collaboration to Combat Insecurity
The Military under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, intensified efforts to strengthen collaboration within the nation’s security framework by paying a courtesy visit to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Headquarters in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the purpose of this visit was to reinforce cooperation in addressing the prevailing security challenges faced by the country.
General Musa praised the Director General (DG) of NIA, Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, for his exceptional leadership and dedication to national service.
He expressed appreciation for the agency’s invaluable assistance to the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) and advocated for the adoption of advanced technology to effectively combat criminal activities.

Emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration, General Musa reiterated the AFN’s readiness to work closely for the greater benefit of the nation.
He underscored the necessity of confronting security challenges with determination, highlighting the significance of fairness, good governance, and related factors in safeguarding national security.

While acknowledging the challenges faced by security agencies, Ambassador Abubakar urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to their responsibilities.
Ambassador Abubakar also commended General Musa’s dedication to duty and highlighted the mutually beneficial relationship between NIA and AFN, particularly in staff training initiatives.
