JUST IN: Kano varsity suspend activities amidst lingering protest
Bayero University Kano (BUK) has suspended all lectures indefinitely following the ongoing nationwide protest.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Head of the Directorate of Public Affairs, BUK, Lamara Garba on Monday.

It commended the university community for maintaining peace on campus noting that it deemed it necessary to suspend academic activities for the safety of students and staff.
“The decision was made by the university management after a careful assessment of the security situation.”
“The management assured students residing on campus of their safety and urged them to remain calm and law-abiding. However, students were advised to be cautious when moving outside the campus premises.”
The university promised to resume normal academic and administrative activities as soon as the situation returns to normalcy.
