Ahmed Rufai Abubakar Resigns as NIA Director General
The Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has resigned from his position.

The reasons behind Abubakar’s sudden departure however are still unclear, sparking speculation about the circumstances surrounding his exit.
Abubakar, who was appointed NIA DG by former President Muhammadu Buhari in January 2018, has been at the helm of the agency for over five years.
