VIDEO: Shettima, Atiku, Obi, Others in Katsina as   Yar’adua’s Mother Buried Amidst Tears

The remain of Hajiya Dada, mother of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua was on Tuesday laid to rest amidst tears at the Famous Danmarna Cemetery.

It was where her late husband, Musa Yar’adua and her two deceased sons, Late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua were buried respectively.

Her funeral prayer led by Imam Aminu Yammawa, was held at the Yar’adua Quarters, immediately outside her residence at about 1:30 pm in line with Islamic rites as arranged by the family.

Dignitaries including the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 General Elections, Mr Peter Obi, former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Senator representing Bauchi Central, Senator Abdul Ningi among other top ranking officials, politicians, academicians and business moguls.

Earlier today, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, received a delegation led by the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the burial of Hajiya Dada.

Radda received the delegation at the Katsina Government House otherwise known as General Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina.

Among the delegation, were, former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Senator Abdul Ningi, Senator Umar Tsauri, as well as former Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa.

Late Dada who is also the mother of late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Senator Abdul Aziz Musa Yar’adua, the Senator representing Katsina Central Constituency and current Chairman, Senate Committee on Army, died on Monday evening after a brief illness at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina.

She died at the age of 102 years.
